An unwanted habit can become closely tied to particular times, places, feelings or routines. Even when you have decided to change it, you may find yourself repeating the same behaviour.
My role is to help you look at the pattern clearly and support the change you have chosen to make. A session may include discussion, focused attention, imagery and mental rehearsal.

Areas people ask about
I receive enquiries about:
- stopping smoking
- stopping vaping
- changing non-dependent drinking patterns
- repetitive habits linked to stress or boredom
- routines around eating and snacking
- motivation for a personal change
Each of these areas needs a slightly different approach. Some also involve physical dependence or an underlying medical or mental-health concern, so hypnotherapy may be only one part of the support required.
A realistic approach
The change still belongs to you. Hypnotherapy can support the decision you have made, but your preparation and the choices you make outside the session remain important. I will not tell you that an urge must disappear or decide in advance how many sessions you should need.
We can discuss triggers, routines, reasons for change and the situations in which you are most likely to return to the habit. Where appropriate, I may encourage you to combine sessions with support from your GP, pharmacist, NHS service or another qualified professional.
