Hypnotherapy Support to Stop Vaping

Vaping may be connected with nicotine dependence as well as familiar routines: reaching for the device while working, driving, socialising, feeling bored or dealing with pressure.

Watch Stopping Vaping What to Expect on Youtube

If you have decided to stop, hypnotherapy can be considered as one part of your plan. I offer a calm setting in which to examine the pattern, prepare for difficult situations and mentally rehearse the change you want to make.

What a session may cover

We may discuss:

  • when and where you vape
  • whether the product contains nicotine
  • previous attempts to stop or reduce
  • situations you expect to find difficult
  • your reasons for stopping
  • practical support available to you

The hypnosis part of the session may use focused attention, imagery and rehearsal. You remain aware and in control.

Nicotine and Practical Support

If your vape contains nicotine, withdrawal can be part of stopping. Hypnotherapy does not replace advice about nicotine dependence, so speak to a pharmacist, GP or stop-smoking adviser about the support available to you.

The NHS provides current advice on stopping vaping and nicotine replacement. This can be used alongside other support where suitable.

A realistic expectation

I do not promise that stopping will be easy, that one session will be enough or that the urge to vape will disappear. Your motivation, preparation and day-to-day choices remain important.

Contact me if you would like to discuss whether a session fits your circumstances.
