Happiness Manifesto

This is a workable 10-point plan to help increase happiness and make you feel more positive about things:

 

 

  • GET PHYSICAL

  • Take half an hour of exercise once a week and aim to increase this as the weeks go by

 

  • COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

  • At the end of each day, reflect on one or two things you are grateful for.

 

  • TAKE TIME TO TALK

  • Have an uninterrupted conversation with your partner or closest friend each week.

 

  • PLANT SOMETHING

  • Even if it is a window box or pot and keep it alive!

 

  • CUT YOUR TV VIEWING TIME DOWN

 

  • SMILE

  • at yourself in the mirror every day and smile at and say hello to a stranger at least once a week.

 

  • PHONE A FRIEND

  • Make contact with one friend or relation you have not spoken to for a while.

 

  • HAVE A GOOD LAUGH

  • at least once a week

 

  • GIVE YOURSELF A TREAT

  • everyday and take time to enjoy it.

 

  • SPREAD SOME KINDNESS

  • And do a good turn for someone whenever you can.
