As Spring rapidly moves into the beginnings of Summer, we now herald the longer days and warmer temperatures. This is where change happens, the trees finally come into leaf, and life is abundant all around.
So how was April for you? Have you felt positive about the coming summer months or do you fear what might or might not happen? I frequently repeat to my clients the need for positivity. It’s hard I know, especially when you are at rock bottom, struggling with life’s issues. But with simple measures and they really are simple, we can all start making those changes that help us find a better, more easier life. Positive actions, positive interactions and positive thinking. Who represents the positivity you crave in life, for me I can’t help but mention Bear Grylls. Yes, the ex-SAS guy who now has a TV series called The Island. Need a great quote from him – read this and you can’t fail to be inspired…
“The difference between ordinary and extra-ordinary is so often just simply that little word – extra. And for me, I had always grown up with the belief that if someone succeeds it is because they are brilliant or talented or just better than me… and the more of these words I heard the smaller I always felt! But the truth is often very different… and for me to learn that ordinary me can achieve something extra-ordinary by giving that little bit extra, when everyone else gives up, meant the world to me and I really clung to it…”
― Bear Grylls
The embodiment of positivity I think.
So this past month, I have exhibited at the Mind Body Soul Festival at The Big Sheep nr Bideford. The result of a few positive ideas, some great organisation and there you are the first of what now will be many future festivals where you really can learn and experience treatments to help mind, body and soul. I met some lovely people, and spending just a few minutes talking about how their brains really work, sent them away with a new knowledge. Understanding how thinking positively can influence so many aspects of their life, and play a big part in help reducing their stress levels and even help their sleep.
This coming month I will be exhibiting at the Parkhouse Centre in Bude on Saturday 9th May 2015 where I hope to give a free talk on how the brain works and also why it’s good to close the door behind you. So if you’d like to know more, I’d be delighted to see you there or I naturally offer free initial consultations at my clinic here in Bude.
